Which bike is better?

Hi,

I’m looking for advice on which of two bikes to buy.

Both are Ridgeback’s Ultra Flight 03, but I can’t decide between the 2011 and 2012 model. Oddly, the specs seem fairly different between the two:

Buying online with discounts they both end up at similar prices, with the 2011 only being about £40 cheaper.

I’m not in the know when it comes to component quality etc, so was hoping to get people’s opinions on which was the better bike?

The 2012's are a downgrade - I had a 2011 Ridgeback Platinum which was replaced under warranty when the frame cracked. The 2012 was a downgrade on the spec so I rejected it and ended up with a Specialized Secteur Comp.

Personally I'd go with the 2011 - it's better spec. and is 9 speed versus 8 speed on the 2012.

The one that fits you better and feels right, test ride them both if possible you will soon know then 'which is best' for you.
