Which brake pads .. road bike

Which decent / good value brake pads would folk here recommend for a road bike

People always say Koolstop Salmons. Personally I'd go a stretch more and get Swisstop Green pads for durable and good stopping power. But Salmons are decent enough if you don't want to spend a big wad of cash.

They fit standard road bike pad holders, so you dont have to use the white ones (I didnt). Seem to be on par with the kool stops on my good bike.

+1 for SWISSSTOP GREEN pads.

Sure you can buy cheaper pads, (if that you meant by good value), but in terms of longevity and stopping power I don't scrimp on pads and as such these are good value IMO.

If you just want some standard brake block type thingies I've got THESE Shimano Tiagra ones, or if you have the cartridges I've also got THESE if you're interested.

Both sets are brand new, prices are cheap but I'm always open to offers as well

I have these as well, more than happy and you get 2 pairs of pads as well.

+1 for SWISSSTOP GREEN pads...

+2 for swisstop green pads. covered almost 2,000 miles through winter on muddy roads on them and very little sign of wear and stop my road bike really well (much better than my OH's identical bike stops).
