Just do like me: don't ride in bad weather and use the car instead.
It saves me a lot of money in expensive gear and I am guaranteed to still be dry and warm when I get to my destination.

Are you trolling? Promoting car use over bike use, just because of a bit of rain, on a cycling forum? Some of us don't have cars, for many different reasons. Last time I looked, buying, maintaining and running a car cost a lot more than "expensive" (the Galibier Tourmalet is only £83) rain jackets.

Or have you had your sense of humour removed.🤣

I have used Proviz Nightriders for the last few years and i find them quite good but i do wonder if there are better items out there to keep me / us dry when it rains.

I don't want a jacket to keep in a roll i want one that goes on when i leave home and comes off when i get home .

I suppose i do sweat a bit but nothing secial

I lke the look of the Galiber tourmalet and courchavel jacket

I purchased the Galibier Tourmalet jacket based on comments in here and thought at £82 it was worth a punt. I wore it for the first time today in foul weather. When I say foul , at mile 26 storm Amy arrived and we rode the final 22 miles of our ride in pouring rain, proper soaking rain. At the end of the ride my bib longs were drenched and my shoes soaked. You get the picture.

I was wearing the following from Lusso; Perform 3 season base layer, Perform long sleeve thermal jersey, Perform insulated gilet. Gentle rain started at around mile 20, enough to put on my Tourmalet jacket but far from wet. I was comfortably warm and far from too hot. When I got home I tried the following to assess the jacket. I did this as soon as I got in.

I pressed a kitchen towel against the internal surfaces of the jacket. Jacket chest and back zero moisture. Arms a very slight amount of moisture. Definitely sweat. Base layer zero moisture, jersey and gilet body zero moisture. Jersey arms externally a slight amount of moisture, internally zero moisture. I think I can say with confidence the jacket more than matches Galibier's description. It's both 100% waterproof and breathable. At £82 an absolute bargain.

Thanks for the feedback. I recently bought the Galibier Foul Weather jacket and it's definitely warm enough with just a base layer - as claimed. I have gone out in any foul (as in wet) weather yet but in a weird way I am looking forward to it to find out how it performs. They don't claim waterproof but do say resistant and I had been thinking about also buying the Tourmalet as well but thought I would wait and see how the current one performs
