I asked about what you had got that was 'bang on the money' not what you wished that you had got...

Sheesh the 'me me me me' generation....

Goes in my rear pocket when I'm cycling - to spot all those lovely birds I see when I'm out in rural Hertfordshire

[QUOTE 2839998, member: 259"]Greg is Isambard Kingdom Brunel. You should see the slack on his chain

Back to the OP, I mentioned this earlier on another thread but until I watched it this afternoon did not realise just how "on the ball" it was:

A Sunday In Hell DVD - documentary of the 1976 Paris-Roubaix

111 minutes of pure nostalgia and joy. And hard men. Racing.

Not the best present, not the most expensive, but completely unexpected and thoroughly enjoyable so far....

This one. When I moved house last January just one thing got left behind on the removal lorry and was lost - the small cantilever toolbox containing my collection of useful little tools (the large toolbox survived the journey). Some things had been my dad's and the rest I'd accumulated myself over the years, and I grieved for it a bit. This Christmas some friends gave me this vintage tin, containing the beginnings of a new small tool collection. What a thoughtful and touching present.

Every tool kit needs an old butter knife...^_^

Amidst all the chaos, confusion and wrapping paper, I managed to catch my BinL's eye, holding up the tin marked 'string' with string poking out thru' a hole in the top, and said to him: "If you had any idea how many times this year I've stood there muttering 'how can you have a kitchen without string in it?!' "

That tin... is it a comment on your state of mind?

Italian national team cycling jersey my dad got in Sorento earlier on in the year as he doesn't cycle himself I was really shocked, he said he tried it on to make sure it fit!
