I meant that the Agree range goes from about £1200 to £2200, the Peloton is a different frame, since it's aluminium for a start

Components are ultimately secondary as long as they work. Tiagra and 105 are almost the same, if you take snob factor out. So shouldn't be the decider where the frame and material are different. It's not like choosing between say a defy 1 or 2

Looking at what has been said, I think I'm going to go with the Agree. I have no experience with the 105, or anything that isn't a non-series Shimano set, so Tiagra is probably good enough for me anyway, and the carbon frame is cheaper and maybe a bit more comfortable. There's other shops I can take it to for fixing if it's minor, and if anything major goes wrong it's going to take a while to fix whether I bought it from a local bike shop or online, so I'll ignore that Paul's is online.
Driving down to Norfolk is probably not going to be an option, so I'll be sending it back, so it doesn't matter in principle.

Just thought I might add a few points to the mix.
The 2014 Peloton Race has better wheels
It has full Shimano 105
The cassette is 11-32 (will get you up the North face of the Eiger, well, possibly not).
It is, as pointed elsewhere a more relaxed geometry (Sportive/mileage friendly).
It is reviewed in both Cycling Active & Cycling Plus magazines.
At 6-1 you might need a size 60
The Agree frame changes when you get to SL/SLT (lighter).
The weight difference might be as little as 200 - 300 grammes.
Most of this is academic if you don't get the correct size (as you won't ride it as often due to comfort).
Both the Peloton Race & Agree would make great bikes, as would a Giant Defy Alu or Carbon & the Boardman Team Carbon too.
Go try some.

I would have looked at a Boardman, but Halfords use their own cycle scheme, so I can't. And the Aksium wheels and better brakes are the reason I was going to go with 2014 Peloton or the 2013 Agree, rather than the Peloton 2013. I think I have decided to go with the 2014 peloton Race, though. Better wheels, full 105 rather than Tiagra, and it also has a more relaxed geometry. And, shallow, but the paint job on the Peloton is much nicer.
But yeah, spending time researching these bikes is getting me excited to actually ride it.

I forgot to mention that the White/Red/Blue version, my personal favourite can probably be ordered in.
I have this issue locally, they have the black/red/white in stock but have to order the others in.
I think a lot of the time when visiting a web site it looks as though the store has 100's & 100's, but reality is it's just a lot of photo's.
There are maybe, 12 - 20 Cube road bike owners on the forum, many of these having bought Cube in the last 6 to 12 months & probably many more who I am not aware of.
There seems to be a real surge in interest towards the brand in the last couple if years.
Even if the Cube is not for you, the Giant Defy in both aluminium & carbon are super high quality & their are brands like Focus & Cannondale doung really good things.
Out of interest @User28511 how did you find your Boardman CX ?
I was in Halfords ordering a childs bike for my soon to be 3 year old & couldn't take my eyes off the 2014 Boardman CX Team (I think) - the one in the Fluid Metal finish, it looked lush.

Black and Red is a better colour !
The Bar tape is a bit naff though, The top layer of mine wore after 200 miles. I'm going to have to book it in for it's 1st service actually as the cables feel stretched and see what if anything they can do about the bar tape.

I think the red white and blue is much nicer. Although I've gone with the black and red because of sizing. I really like the way the bar tape changes colour halfway down, but it's a shame if it's poor quality.
