Ive used the 2000 lumen on for the past few weeks borrowed and it was great but is the other one really 5000 and better? If you have any other reccomendations from the uk please let me know up to £20. I ride in total darkness down old railway paths with no streetlighting for about a mile so needs to be bright and with a wide beam

It isn't going to be 2.5 times brighter. I have a magicshine mj808 a U2 X2 and a U2 X3 and whilst brighter they aren't as bright as the claimed lumens would imply. They also don't kick out the claimed lumens, I suspect they are the max ratings of the leds used. The solarstorm are neat and small compared to the T6 type lights.

Not sure tbh. The solarstorm uses U2 leds rather than the slightly older T6's. I suspect two are a bit brighter but your burn time is going to be less as there will be more drain driving two leds.

lost somewhere
I have bought a couple of ludicrously bright Cree torches on ebay in the last two years. One cost £30 and the other £8. Their daft obscure batteries and their charger added about £15 each time.
Both of them went wonky within a week on the bike, changing randomly between flashing/lighting modes, or turning off at a whim. I concluded that they were a complete waste of money.

I was doing 35 mph the first day of borrowing it down a hill and it went off i was terriffied as there was no lighting around, when i got it home i re soldered it all and insulated it and it has been perfect for a few weeks just need my own now, i did have one ordered but canceled it due to needing a new tyre
