I can get this for £200 second hand. And electrician mate can fit for £100. Would it be ok for a Vauxhall frontera electric?

Yes it would work. Not heard of the

Porsche 7kW charger. These are some of the better known home chargers

I quite fancied the R5 as our next downshifted lifestyle and eco-friendly runabout but...

... Mrs SD ruled it out with a phrase including a very unladylike expletive.

That's that then!

I checked it out when we were buying the R4. Personally I thought it looked great although would have been a big leap down in size for us. It shares a lot of the same tech as the R4. We are slowly going through all the more irritating bits and have now managed to turn off the Jean-Michel Jarre that welcomed you to the car as well as the daft avatar that leaps around wanting attention. Curiously it didn’t understand p…. Off!

He was scared of going over 80% he thinks it’s not recommended. People really baffle me sometimes.

I dont know his vehicle, but you can normally set maximum charge in the settings.

For example I leave my Model S at 50-55% for the winter, plugged in. The car periodically does it's maintenance thing to keep things in good order.

5 comfortable seats is the awkward bit.

Mid size like a Nissan Leaf in 62kW battery capacity.

There is a new 2026 model, but it's gone up in price considerably compared to the previous model
