Weather isn't up to a bike ride this afternoon, so taking son to cinema.

Our choices are The Monuments Men or Mr Peabody & Sherman.

Help me decide please. Son is 11.

Monuments Men is ok as long as you've not read the book, but I have, and I've just got back from watching the film.

Bah! Peabody was a bit boring! Little un liked it though, plus there was a display of vintage emergency vehicles in th e city centre! Bonus. And we went to wilkos and bought a bike spanner, puncture repair kit, and some brake pads!

Saw Stalingrad in 3d last night. While the glasses dig in and hurt a bit after a while, to get that feel of being in the action is a real bonus. It's a gritty, explosive, gut-wrenching ride illustrating the real horrors and violence of a cruel battle on a huge scale. It's much, much better than the Jude Law thing, Enemy at the Gate, also on the same subject. Very impressive and you should go and see it. In fact, EVERYONE should go and see it. 6/10
