I have been trying for ages to identify the correct replacement door seal for the freezer in the Scoosh house. It is clear, from this post, that I have been unsuccessful , so I am calling on the world of CC for assistance !

The freezer in question was bought from Curry's some years ago and is as follows:
Frigidaire Elite FVE 3196H
ART 595133
SN 74030043

I can't find a match for the particular make/model but suspect part of the number is to do with the colour (white ) and maybe even the fact that it was a 'Curry's special'.

Can any kind and preferably, knowledgeable  CC member assist, please ?

I've tried emailing some companies to get an answer but had very little response, except to say 'don't have'.

I wouldn't have any problem using 'cross-over' door handles or shelves - but a door seal is a bit too important IMO !
I'll try talking to a real person and see what transpires.

Thanks, Fossy.

You got it from Currys, have you tried their spares department, Partmaster?
Places where the number may be found, if it helps.

I think there's a Canadian website dedicated to this sort of thing Scoosh
You do have to join the Seal Club though.

Why don't you make your own door seal out of old inner tubes and rubber bands that those lazy bastard postmen chuck on the floor. Ok, get all the stuff together and put it in a saucepan, then whack it on a high heat for 20 minutes, when the fire brigade have left it should be just right to mould into a door seal shape, job's a good un. Probably.

Thanks, @classic33 - £96 for a new door, when only the rubber seal is gone ??? :heat:

Reply from Partmaster(Currys), where you said you'd bought it. Reply came Friday.
Put the price on here just in case you thought you were only going to be paying for a seal.
