Been using a Garmin Edge 510 for about 3 months now, and I love it. Will navigate you perfectly satisfactorily with a course you have created and sent to the device. It also has pretty much all the features you could sensibly require, but one of the things I really appreciate about it is that it uses both the American GPS and the Russian GLONASS systems, which between them give a fantastically quick satellite fix and very good reliability of positioning information. Where GPS alone can struggle if you are in very built up areas or under cover of trees or even thick cloud etc, the added dimension of GLONASS means almost total reliability. You also have the option of turning GLONASS off to improve battery life if you are in an area where just GPS will be adequately reliable.

Although Garmin Connect can occasionally be a bit of a pain, in general it is a well thought out and very intuitive bit of software.

I guess Garmin aren't market leaders for nothing.
