If a snug fit is not your thing then the smock is perfectly cut. The rear keeps my booty pretty dry and my lower back warm. I don't carry much in my rear pockets so it's not an issue ( or they are on my shirt underneath). It's not for summer - but then it's not needed then. Maybe for the ample of breast and small of hip might find this versatile jacket just the trick. I ended up with Paramo because I couldn't find anything cycle specific that fitted me or my needs.further comment following up earlier poster on Paramo - whilst I am a huge fan of paramo waterproofs for mountaineering or general outdoor use, I'd not think it ideal on a bike as likely too warm, and even the smock ones aren't really cut in cycle style. That said, if they did a snug fit, cycle cut one with pockets in the back I would buy, but not otherwise. That said my Quito anorak is better than goretex by a similar margin that goretex has over an old jumper. But not suitable bike wear
Adrian who is considerably leaner than I also finds the cut good. Try it on a bike!
