I like my Sigma 15-30 wide angle. But I also have a weakness for big telephoto lenses. How I wish I could afford the Nikon f2.8 500mm lens.:eek:
Why do you ask, by the way?

What about telephoto? 75-300's? or even 600mm's (for papping Rod Stewarts' latest missus over the castle walls)?

50mm is pretty handy for all-purpose shooting though. :eek:

It's a challenge - you'll need to think about this poll! :biggrin::biggrin:;)

More examples; here

I love the colour rendition and contrast from it, and it allows some really creative shooting - great city lens too.

From your list, the Nikkor 18-70 is a great lens for a kit lens, and a very handy focal range. I think Sigma do a decent 18-70 too, although I've never used it.

I've got two 35 mm systems and I really like the 21 mm with the rangefinder and the 19 mm with the SLR. Wish I could afford an even wider one for the rangefinder.

Have you seen the Voigtlander Heliar 15mm? That's stupidly wide, and a lot of fun. One of my flickr contacts often uses it.
