it always seemed to me that you gained from moving between companies of different sizes (although these things are relative - the companies I've worked for only range in size from 2 up to 120 or so). If you haven't worked for a really large company before why not give it a try on the basis that it will give you a different perspective on things?

I have a vid conference with the VP in the states this afternoon!

I was half hoping they would say no and make my mind up for me!

Tell the VP you can't make your mind up between his offer and one from a local tin-pot outfit so you posted your conundrum on a cycling forum - that should cut down your choices.

Small company = equals more community spirit, loyalty, better personal relationships. Downside - less scope for development unless rapidly expanding.

Big company = more development opportuntities, but soulless and will be treated like a statistic when times get hard.

Yeah I kind of regret that every time I see your sig although you've edited it out of context, I'm sure I said 'Wigie's your man if you are in need of a half-wit'

Now with added smiley just so don't think I'm being serious mate! ;)

I moved jobs a couple of months ago and one of the big reasons for moving was the people I'd be working with, the seemed at the time and have become a great team to be involved with. And as 1 more employee of 41000 I don't find it soulless. I've worked for small companies and had some great times when times were good, but some very scary times during down turns.

Is there any travel or overseas opportunities with either job? Where is the US office located?
