Which Kickstand

Hi there,

I am due to take delivery of a Spa Cycles Elan Ti in January and am in the process of buying the various bits and pieces I will need for the bike. I know kickstands are a bit like Marmite but I couldn't imagine going bikepacking without one.

The bike does not have direct mounts for a kick stand so, do any Elan Ti owners on here have a kickstand fitted? If so, what kickstand did you use? Centre mount or bolt onto rear fork?

Once I came across this one: Upstand which I never bought due to it being pricey, but it is a good option for something subtle and when you don't otherwise have an option to mount something more traditional

I would speak to Spa and ask for their recommendations. There's a school of thought that some stand clamps can damage the frame.
Another alternative is the clickstand
