Which lock for cafe stops etc?

Hi guys

Just a quick question with regards to what lock you use when out on longer rides and where do you store it when riding?
My rides are getting longer and would like to factor in a cafe stop or something but my saddle bag is full and the locks I have seen are all really chunky.

I have a D-Lock on a frame mount, goes everywhere with me when I'm out and about.

A friend uses a cable lock of the pull out/retract type, that goes in whichever bag is handiest.

Try a cable type with an alarm padlock [assuming you don't plan to be any ditance away from the bike]. just coil round the seatpost. Won't delay 'em for long but it should warn you and after that it's up to you how hard you hit 'em.

I have a hip lock, comfortable to wear and large enough to offer a visual deterrence for opportunist scumbags
