Which mech for this hanger ??

Hello all,
A long time ago I converted my 8 speed Commuter to a single speed after the deralilleur died. I have desided to convert back but cannot remember which deralleur I used on the bike I think it was Deore but I'm not sure which one. The hanger is still present does anyone any idea.

Any Shimano 8 speed one would be fine - Altus or Acera are common

Any mech will fit on that hanger. In fact, any mech will fit on any hanger, as the fitting is universal.

Is that a crack by the weld on the chainstay?

The possible crack is dog hair ! I have 6 dogs and the stuff ends up everywhere thanks for the help everyone.

@BADGER.BRAD Actually I'm stripping a bike today * - which'll have an old 8-speed Deore derailleur. For the price of postage it's yours.

* bought it for the wheels, Ritchey bars and 8 speed shifter. It's an abysmal bitsa of which the frame and Cannondale rear wheel are the only decent parts.

Thanks for the offer DCLane much appreciated but I've just ordered one from ebay (typical) Was only a few quid anyway.At least now I'll be able to use the bike a little more.
