Which model Carlton is this?

This is my old bike I acquired several years ago the only original parts that I know are the frame and forks and maybe the brakes.
But I would like to know which model it is as there is no transfers on the top tube
frame no is 5008094 from what I can make out

Looks very similar to my Clubman (they only have a very tiny decal on the front of the toptube) but mine does not have the centrepull bridge on the rear stays as it was fitted with twin pivot sidepull brakes (Weinmann 'Dynamics') but I suspect that mine is earlier.

I would hope that this is finished now but let me know if you need help sourcing a colour reference match.

I restored one last year and spent a few hours bonding with (annoying the hell out of...) the guys at my automotive paint store. Polychromatic is possible but involves several layers of translucent colour which build on top of each other to form the final colour. They had it down pat in the 70's but it's cost prohibitive these days so not much standard colour choice.

I went with a pearlescent in a spot on colour match which ended up looking great. Will post pics if you're interested.
