Hello all,

I did do a quick search but all the discussion I could find on here is out-of-date.

I am downgrading my phone, just sick of the pervasiveness of the modern smartphone, its constantly nagging at me and distracting me. I don't use social networking and I like my privacy. The only things I'll miss from having a £500.00 phone is the camera, satnav and my music (ok, and the web on the go).

First off, I will address music, since I would really miss this on my commute. Also, since its going to be a dedicated music player I would really like to listen to the radio on the go.

So, please can any of you with knowledge of a decent mp3 player with good radio reception let me have your recommendations?

Meanwhile, behold the wonder of the Nokia 215.

Where do I load the SD card and does it perhaps support video too? A bit bulky, but if its got video and bluetooth then that might just sway me. How much?

Nokia 215 - plays 50 hours worth of MP3's and has a built in FN receiver and has basic internet?! What else do you need?

I know, I love it, but FM radio reception is next to useless. And I like things like playlists.

Just find any old android phone with an SDcard slot and fm radio and load all your your music on it no need to put a sim in. Beauty of this is you can also use it as a small video player while on the go if you feel so inclined to. Its what i would do.

Battery would last a lot longer too once you trim down all the background tasks you dont need. I got a spare phone i do exactly the same thing with

It would be the most elegant solution, wouldn't it
