Which MTB pedals (none spd type) can you recommend ?

My MTB came with spd pedals and I want to change to standard type.
Before anyone suggests getting used to them......I have spd's on the road bike but am not happy with them on the MTB.
Decathlon (where I got the bike) dont seem to have much choice (by there own admission).
I am not what you call a serious MTBiker but as the bike cost £500 I don't want rubbish.
Someone has suggested ebay copies of dmr V8 or V12 .....any thoughts appreciated.

Superstar components do own brand versions of the classic flat MTB pedals which are really good value. They also do disc pads for a bargain price.

They look good.
What's the difference between "flats" and "through pins" as the photos & descriptions look identical ?
