Simple question .... tricky answer.
New bike (in build) will be a Rourke 853 Audax frame to take 28c with Guards.
Role is for winter, distance, nightime riding, Credit-card touring. (The Holdsworth will take on frivilous sunny day activities).
Wheels are 23mm Archetype rims on Son28/VO Touring hub, very shiny all silver.
The bike is basically deep blue with some red highlighting bar-tape, headset, cables.
Can't recall if guards will be black or Silver!
I've a long history of Michelin PR 2/3/4 service Course tyres and a pair of Krylions which I'm not sure I liked greatly.
I hoping the bike to be fast and agile though the wheels are not lightweights they're not unreasonable.
Handling and grip are important.
I like the PR4 Endurance because on the whole Michelin have served me well, they are 50g lighter and I can get them in red to gow ith the red highlighting!
I like the Idea of Duranos, the 25c is slightly fat and their P* resistance is good, however I have seen and heard of more bead/sidewall blow-outs with Schwalbe than any other tyre.
Conti GP4000s are the outsider, they seem very durable for a race tyre, roll well and grip well, but a bit pricier and I guess less tough than the others. Maybe not a good winter choice?
Both Schwalbe and Michelin are the same price and Contis more at CRC where I want to buy some other bits.
So, what does the assembled CC massive think?

My experience with GP4000S is two punctures within five weeks of fitting them so kind of put me off them. I would probably go for the Duranos.
