nooooo! Especially if they are plain white without some sort of motif.
... and if you then pull them up to mid-calf, you need putting up against a wall.

How do you wear yours?

I have some white ones, but they barely reach my ankle bones.

Likewise - some Aldi winter ones (go over the bony bit of the ankle), and some Lidl summer ones (trainer liner type).

I wore grey cycling socks today, and to me they looked worse than the white...

If I'm touring in warmer climes I don't wear socks.
I couldn't be doing with that. Socks are there to take up friction between skin and shoe. I would get abraded to bits.

Not mine... they are there to keep my shoes from stinking up...

And I - being a self proclaimed cycling-fashion-authority - will tell you, that white socks are quite alright... whether its baby-polarbear o r baby-sealskin doesn't matter... both are nice and warm

I wore white ones yesterday, they were a bargain bundle from JJB, ie cheap! Feel a bit foolish now and won't let it happen again.
