@JKility Call into your local nick and ask for a traffic bobby, and make sure you tell them it's been NFA'd before, as they don't like to step on toes. Were you given an initial incident number? At the end of the vid did the driver reverse into that private drive or, more scary, were they blocking the road to get you trapped/stopped?

IMO the WVM should as a bare minimum be spoken to and given a section 59 warning? Did anyone else miss the fact this took place on the road outside a primary school? How much longer do we have to tolerate this level of bad driving?
NFA'd? And yes was given a incident number so can all be tracked etc

At the end of the video as you can just about see, the van pulls out into the middle of the road and was about to reverse into that drive.... i wasnt prepared to have an argument or have him give me dirty looks so just rode up along the pavement and came off it further up.....

.... and called him a Bell End as you passed- just audible on the video

You think WVM would risk smashing his vehicle up? Idiot drivers do close passes, punishment passes and brake tests on cyclists because they know it's unlikely to damage their vehicle if there's a collision. Plus, if a death occurs, they'll get a fine of less than the cost of the bike the deceased was riding. There is no way drivers would risk their own vehicle, and cyclists are the vulnerable ones, a close pass like that is the reason people are frightened of cycling.

Never seen a driver punish pass and brake test a hearse, milk float or street sweeping van.

I've seen drivers punish pass and brake test each other.

Nor a slow moving, lost delivery van that then parks on doubles

Weird isn't it, I mean they are clearly holding up the driver and the police approved legal method of dealing with that is demonstrated in the video in this thread.

I wonder if the CTC would be interested in that, in view of their current campaign to get police to investigate incidents properly? (which coincides with their campaign to get them charged with dangerous driving). complain to IPCC. He overtook when there was not enough room and braked because he had to because there was a car in front of him. he totally disregarded you and it's nothing to do with the cyclist on the other side of the road.

the other day a woman was driving so close to me i was able to knock on the top of her bonnet (not just the side of the car). farkwit. She didn't move which made me angry but side mirrors are so much tougher these days!
