Seeing as I missed the boat with the main games, and the application closing date for the ParaOlympics was 6PM yesterday, I applied!

It was limited to 10 events per person, but I tells you what, the prices were a LOT more reasonable than the main games.

I think I have all the events I would want to see covered, and they also had day passes to the 'Olympic Area' and Edexel centre, where you will be able to go to all the different events taking place there (including finals) - a taster of the events as it were, ticking off a load of sports I'd not otherwise see, and very good value for money too!

Here's hoping that I get at least some!

Who else has ticket applications, and what have you picked??

I've applied for a few (5 events in total). Rugby, Swimming, Athletics, one of the day pass things and ermmm, can't remember the last one.

I applied for the full 10 tickets, but, because a few of the events clashed with each other and there were sports I really wanted to see, I, in the end sacraficed an application for the Cycling  (I do enough of that anyway!).

In fact, the only sport I applied for which I do do was the Rowing - the 2 final days (out of 3). I then applied for things such as the Equestrian Events (the older I get the more I like horses, and it is an event I'd like to see at least once, more out of curiosity than anything else), several Athletics events, and the rest, covered with the day passes such as Wheelchair Rugby, wheelchair Fencing, and Table Tennis, not to mention the others such as Goalball, Powerlifting, Boccia, etc etc.

ahh you see I really want to see the Rugby, and so applied for that as I noticed that it includes the day pass (which obviously doesn't guarantee entry to the exact sport you want to see at that time) so "if" I get the Rugby then hopefully I'll be able to dip into the other events on the day as well

I haven't bought any tickets, but I intend to ride down to the Paralympics cycling course down at Brands Hatch. It's got to be better than going up to Stratford and it's free.
