Nipped in to Radcliffe town centre (Greater Manchester) yesterday (11 June) at around 1.30 and met a slightly lost bunch of about 6 riders who were on their way from Kirkby Stephen to London and were looking for the cycle route that runs along the old railway from Radcliffe down to Manchester. I pointed them in the right direction and they told me they were looking for "route eight" - this can't be Sustrans route 8 because that runs from Holyhead to Cardiff.
Anyway, does anybody know who they were? A quick web search brings nothing up though I've found a number for a bike shop in Kirkby Stephen, which I will ring later.
