Crikey, that was one of the coldest days I've had in a while. -1 when I left, then I spent all day outside in the park teaching. The bummer with teaching is that I get much colder than when I'm cycling as I'm not working as hard as my students are.

Annoying ride home too, 2 x punctures, followed by a third slow puncture near home. Arrrgh!

Twas a flippant comment.Also I sympathise.

Hi hackers, not having a go, thought 'twas unlike what I've seen of you to be callous, wasn't taking offence.

I might be coming across wrong at the mo anyway, feeling a bit bitter and twisted.

Did a leisure ride today, b*****d cold and icy but beautiful in glorious sunshine. Back to the (3-day) commute tomorrow, ho hum

I rode to work today - twice. Empty roads, no traffic lights, no pedestrian crossings, no cycle tracks, nobody else at work - just me and a hot Bovril dispenser.

I'm the same, unfortunately work sometimes get to me.Bloke at work who I have known there for twenty years (he retires at the end of the year and I have a lot of respect for him) says you just have to let it go over your head.Never a truer work spoken.

Yeah I have a sort of go about the 9-5ers but my 5am commutes are actually much better.

Couple of motons who were sniveling with the cold tonight were complaining how they were cold and couldn't breath while I was wearing a T-Shirt and Shorts as I was walking the bike....Absolute classic.;)

Does make me laugh, all that worrying the car drivers give to the cold, the cold doesnt bother me, its the ice today and the morons in cars not taking any notice of the conditions.

They actually made a remark and complained about me wearing shorts and my favourite Hawaiian sort shirt of which I bought in Hong Kong.It has a lion sort pattern on it.I was wearing the same on my 330am commute this morning.Must admit I don't like ice on the roads though.I found the temperature this morning quite comfortable.Unlike Bangkok which was 90 degrees.

Today was a lovely day to ride - cold, sharp & invigorating. Didn't notice it being much colder than usual, although tomorrow is supposed to be a bit parky. Last friday was the worst, with drizzle on wet ice - some serious sphincter twitching going on then.

It was lovely today: cold and crisp, frosty but not icy. I did think I'd found some ice when the handling went all weird as I rounded a corner. Then realised that the Fairy of P had come to say hello.

Still, I did get one other bike, three peds and a bloke in a car stop and offer help / condolences while I was changing the tube.

I cycled in and was bowling along at 20 didnt want to slow down for the mini round about , but wished I had when a car appeared ! Luckily he/she was paying attention as I was half way across before I stopped and I was right in the danger zone!

I will be more cautious from now on!;)
