Who cycled to work today?

It was beeeeeeyotiful this morning. I'd worried a bit overnight as there was quite a bit of fog around midnight, but that had cleared by sun-up. It was frosty, but not icy, and the trip into the woods up the hill from our house was stunning: a red sum peeping through the remnants of the mist across a meadow of long grass all covered in frost, glimpsed between the trees which were all covered in that special frost you get when it's been both foggy and frosty. I had to stop and stand there for a bit to take it all in.

10 minutes later I thought my ears were going to drop off as I went down the exposed bit of the bridleway ..

Well I had lovely tan lines (road grime with rain lines) from my ankles to where the 3/4 finished. Plus the rain and wind in my face was bloody cold.

Cracking going home though and managed to keep up with a youngster on a nice road bike.

Both 6v horns working today (instead of one) found rust in one of the buttons making a poor contact,replaced it.(My ebay spares order had eventually arrived).Useful for one of those pre-booked titheads who didn't know where he was going this morning on a cold commute.

Mean to fix the 12v horn on at a later date to see how effective it is.

Might as well be.

Useful at the lights if there are a lot of peds hanging about there.I just keep my finger on the horn button.Effective and usually motorists think it's a car.

Another thing with these horns is motorists don't generally take offence if I use them against said offender.
