It seems failing to nominate the driver is a common ‘get out of jail free’ card. According to the Ministry of Justice there were 54,341 people convicted of that in 2012 alone.

Yes. Limit on proceedings is six months in this (and most traffic) cases. There are many reported after the event, but this is one of the ones that I think definitely deserves the driver being reported to court.

I should think the driver could be identified as the cyclist drew up alongside and videoed through the window, clear enough to identify the driver. Shocking piece of driving and pure impatience / entitlement on display.

Bloody hell. Just read the comments too. Seems the Met havent acted on more than one complaint. Separate parties should really tweak an interest we'd hope. I've sent the video link to a couple of publications and might send it to a couple of cycling-friendly newspapers tonight.
