No but(t) I know someone that tried it and had difficulty sitting down for a while.

I spent a fantastic autumnal weekend in a cabin in the Scottish highlands with pals (couples). During a storm we lost power and spent the night by the fire playing monopoly by candlelight and drinking anything that was in the place. Booze and naked flames evolved into an epic fart lighting competition.

And we had intended to be so cultured too.

i had a little skin tag on the really soft skin at the top inside of my thigh..
i thought id just snip it off with nail clippers..easy enough ajd it will be quick and painless...

WRONG its was astonishingly painful..bit like a tom and jerry cartoon pain reaction..

I have put a hot k wire (like a big darning needle) into collections of blood under nails. But that was a long time ago

Nipped fingers/nails are a bit of a job hazard for me. I don't try and make a habit of it though.
I've done a hot wire through the top of a nail near the cuticle after an incident involving a hammer to relieve the pressure. I would probably have lost the nail otherwise.
I now favour just using a very small drill bit to do it. Just twisting it between the fingers though, after discovering the first time of trying it that using a battery drill is a bad idea.
I mean, a really bad idea.

That brings this to mind...

On holiday in Turkey I went to the barber every other day for a shave, head and shoulder massage. Fabulous experience for about £2/3 a time. He used the ear hair singeing trick.

Often wondered about doing it at home, especially now I've reached the age of excessive ear and nose hair, but never got up the courage to try.

For years I've been using tweezers to pluck rogue hairs out of my nostrils, which makes my eyes water. However I've just discovered that ear hairs aren't as robust so if you let them grow then pluck them, there's no pain.
