As a blacksmith I have burnt myself loads of time and still bear the scares
I had the ear hair thing done to me in a barber's in Istanbul. Saw the flame in the mirror and got up to run away but the bloke managed to persuade me to stay.
I spent a fantastic autumnal weekend in a cabin in the Scottish highlands with pals (couples). During a storm we lost power and spent the night by the fire playing monopoly by candlelight and drinking anything that was in the place. Booze and naked flames evolved into an epic fart lighting competition. No but(t) I know someone that tried it and had difficulty sitting down for a while.
I couldn't "Like" your misfortune Dave 123, but your tale certainly gave me a good laughAs an 18 yo I had a small skin tag right on the edge of my eyelid.
Nipped fingers/nails are a bit of a job hazard for me. I don't try and make a habit of it though.I have put a hot k wire (like a big darning needle) into collections of blood under nails. But that was a long time ago![]()
Aye, we always heed the lessons we've learned ourselvesJust twisting it between the fingers though, after discovering the first time of trying it that using a battery drill is a bad idea.I mean, a really bad idea.
That brings this to mind...

There was an article in the Daily Mail about some poor chap who caught alight using one of those electric scalpels......
May I add vasectomy here in the burning flesh smell category?
