Who ensures your bike(s)?

Bear in mind only one of my bikes is worth over 1500 sovs, and then only just. All the rest (including the wifes bikes) bar 3 are in the 500-700 bracket. Might be a bit different I I had a 3 grand plastic nob substitute in the fleet.

I paid £340 for house insurance including cover for £9k of bikes, world wide, all risks.

We got home insurance through the AA with both bikes being insured worldwide, with a new for old regardless. £160 Happy days

Sheila's Wheels home insurance here, their policy looked fine when I took it out and renewed it last year. Gives cover away from the home for locked bikes, no rules as to spec of lock but "reasonable care" required. I think there is a limit of £1,000 on each bike and bikes over £500 have to be declared/named on the policy.

I had a bike stolen when with Sheila's wheels. All straightforward. I bought a bike and claimed back. Discussion with wheelies who handle their claims were easy. Got a cheque in post minus excess. Obviously any claim could affect ncb if not protected
