You heard it first here – Sh4rkyChavvyBloke says ” If the car my bike is close enough for that to happen then they I deserve everything they I get IMO. So, feel free to cause damage to his bike – he won’t mind!
Oh, my sides are splitting. No, really.

No idea what you are trying to say here, but as it's from you then it's probably not worth bothering about so I'll just leave it for others to be similarly confused about.

Next thread.

You really are struggling here aren't you, Hippo? Even your usual pointless and nasty excursions into irrelevance aren't up to the mark. What are you on about?

The highway Code says "Always give way if it can help to avoid an incident." Instead of subscribing to the "two wheels good, four wheels bad" school of thought, look st it from another viewpoint and let the car go first, why? How much of a potential danger to you is a car in front of you heading into the distance?
There is also an added bonus! The driver will be thinking "Not all cyclists are bad!"

As someone has pointed out, I was already turning before he did, so it would have been hard to let him go first, unless I was on a fixie and capable of cycling backwards. As a matter of fact, I did give way in order to avoid hitting him, I swung left a bit. I had no desire to hit him. He chose to turn in a way that put him alongside me, at a distance of about a foot away, for as long as it took him to get up the speed to leave me behind - which i was very glad of.

I trust you are joking. If you are not, how would you like someone to damage your property?

It would depend if I'd been an impatient prick and put them at risk, if so, I think I'd rather deserve it.

Of course, I wouldn't really kick out, I'd rather keep my feet on the pedals and avoid anything that might unbalance me.

In your narrow little world where everyone else apparently thinks 'two wheels good, four wheels bad' (Not me, that's for sure), where do three wheels sit? I ask since I regularly ride three wheels for work. When I'm not driving 4 wheels.

On another topic, I also had an aborted left hook, coming up to the driveway of a Scout hall, a minibus emblazoned with Scout logos came past me, indicating left as it was level. I prepared for the worst, but the driver realised in time and stopped, made a 'd'oh!' gesture and waved me through. I gave him a bit of a look, but refrained from comment, since I reckoned he'd realised his error. I expect Hippo will now tell me I should have got off and joined the Scouts or something.
