Did a 6 inch by 6 inch on my butt some years ago - not funny, especially when you trash an expensive brand new pair of club kit shorts..... argh.... and scuff some rather nice Sidi's...... that hurt more until I got in the shower........
My bestest bits (OTH) went out and got some body repair kit then..... Bless........
Try coming off a speedway bike a few times you'll know what gravel rash is and also leather burns ...John Waynes walk never looked out of place I can tell you.
first mistake we have had a long dry spell, set off in heavy rain not thinking the road might be a bit slippery until all the oil ect gets wash of. second mistake overtaking the car so i could not see the puddle at the bottom of the hill. yes the third mistake was hitting the brakes. the tric q is great in the dry no brake steer you can put one brake on going in to a corner at full tilt Lean in and around she goes. now add a puddle with a liberal sprinkle of oil, first you 360 then up on two wheels sort that lot out, just as you go into a 180 which at this point was a bit of luck as that is when the back wheel hit a tall pavement and disintegrated filliping over back words. my garmin says i entered the corner at 41mph. so 1 destroyed helmet 1 back wheel 1 gortex jacket shredded from shoulder down left sleeve, walking the two miles home trailing the trike behind me with one bumm cheek hanging out with grave rash is just adding insult to injury. the durability of Lycra shorts is a bit less than wet news paper, when sliding along the pavement.
