Try 6 and a half weeks of it trying to poop with the effects of morphine. No bloody fun. Hope you are out soon. The consultant only let me use the loo during the last week in the asylum and only once a day.
It will get easier after the pain meds build up in your system, you will start to feel a bit better, the first week is the worst, cant move your leg, lying on your back all the time, and going to the toilet can be a challenge. Even when you start to feel better still take the pain meds regularly, there is nothing worse than missing a dose and waking in the night in pain as the pain relief takes about 30 mins to kick in. Good Luck with recovery.They lied ! Op done yesterday, no walking until tomorrow. I thought id be out by then. And it bloody hurts
