Who stole all the pickled onions ?

No pickled onions left in 3 supermarkets near home today. Morrisons still had 5 jars of those mini white (cocktail) onions but no huge light brown things. Also, no small gherkins. The world has gone crazy.

note to self - try LIDL tomorrow.

Gherkins yes, PO's no. Lidl is a good idea I think.

You could slice one and leave it in vinegar overnight, recommended in a ham butty.

I have 3 jars of home made pickled onions in the pantry. 1 of which is super hot with added chilli's. \o/
We made some of them last year in the old house, and 1 of the jars was made by my nan. Now I have a craving to eat them with the Welsh Bomber cheddar and the pistachio and parmesan biscuits we made today.

Not many Polish stores in my part of Hertfordshire. I tried the car wash guys but they didn't have any either.
