It looks about as big as a Mini and has a 1.6 engine. Have you got the right shoebox?

Think so. It's not outside at the mo, so I'll have to check again but i got the impression it was big, not 4x4 big but not compact.

There's one appeared in our road, very distinctive. The only thing I don't like about it is it's suffering from the same symptom affecting all of these 'lifestyle' cars; bloat. It's a big car.

Cars do seem to be designed to look fat these days. Maybe it's to make the owners look slimmer?

And it's a nuisance, because all the bulgy curves make it very difficult to actually tell where the edges of the car are, hence people have no idea if they can get through a gap or not.

Cars are bigger as more people are fat b4stards they simply cannot fit in cars with dimensions of vehicles made decades ago. That's why vans have become people carriers and the likes of huge Range Rovers and BMW X5s have become mainstream.

I'll probaly have one in 20 years time when you can buy them for £100 taxed and tested.

Although, I'll be a bit p*ssed off if my Skoda is worn out by then and needs replacing. It cost £150 you know.

You can't drive a Kia!

This is a Kia:

(Actually, it's spelled "kea", but pronounced the same!)

I'd noticed the 'Key Arse-hole' pronunciation of the name, but I assumed I was the only one childish enough to comment on it.
I'm delighted to find I'm not.

I would.
I've had a couple of Kia's a s Hertz cars in Austria/Hungary/Germany. They're well made and go well. So why not? IMO cars like houses (and I'm kinda with Le Corbusier on this) are devices to fulfill a need, and if this typeof vehicle fulfills your kind of need, then a Kia is as good as any other brand. Buy and enjoy.
