It would been a more informative and relevant article on cycling if he'd just barked "Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot..." in close-up to the camera for four minutes.

For those not in the know Mr Millward is the transport journalist for the Telegraph. He does usually focus on rail, motor and air, but recently began this little diary as an exercise to see if his views could be challenged.

I mentioned him and this diary on the 'radar site after seeing it on the CTC one. I sent him an email of encouragement and about training through their letters page, I would hope that we could atleast reach out to him and prove that we're not all a***holes on the roads. He may even learn something, and in turn might even offer us a fresh insight (slight chance I'd admit but worth a try)

Pfft. You've got to be kidding me. Sugar and milk is a bonus. The tea and mugs we bring in from home... just like anywhere else I guess.

I really hope you're right, but considering that his host publication has a lot of anti-cycling previous, I fear Mr Millward's is more fifth columnist and born-again cycle columnist (see what I did with that?) A selection of his entries seem to focus on the iniquities of his fellow cyclists and the 'good as gold'ness of his motorised friends.

His past articles, yes. Perhaps this might change. I could just be dreaming obviously.

I think our efforts would better be served by having the PCC investigate the latest misuse of "fact" on the Times and Daily Mail articles where they mention Abigail Haythorne
