Whoops forgot my laptop charger

+1 for Maplins.

I picked up a couple of their universal laptop charger / power pack jobbies ages ago. Have been really useful over the years as spares etc. Currently using one on a more permanent basis after the charger for this laptop went *fzzzzt* recently.

Gosh, people actually have only one charger for their laptops? I have one at work and one at home. Same for the phone plus a third charger that lives permanently in my overnight case. I've been marooned a few times due to cancelled onward flights and learned my lesson on that one.

Just the one for the laptop but I have three for my phone....one around the house, one in the car and one in the bag I always take on trips

Well, it's a work laptop and I try not to travel with it given that it's such a brick.

I have got sorted now. I went to Maplins and had a few nervous moments when none of the tips fitted. Then I went to Currys PC World and they had an onbrand Dell compatible version that did.
