Who's bought an expensive bike on finance????

I'm often drooling over expensive bikes I can't afford.

Has anyone bought an expensive bike (£1000, £2K, £3K ++) on finance to get there dream ride.

I gradually over a period of months bought the parts I needed to assemble my dream bike, which is the same thing only the sensible way round.

No but I have a credit card or two for such purchases. My most recent purchases (bike + wheels) are on a 0% balance transfer CC with over a year left at no interest.

It'll be cleared and probably used for another purchase by then

Only sensible if it was cheaper than buyng the bike complete i suppose!

2 of my bikes were bought on 0% interest over 12 months 1 was bought outright with a ppi claim and I saved for another as there was a 9 month waiting list (hand built frame)

Only C2W and only because of the tax saving, wouldn't have otherwise. Wouldn't use finance, just savings or salary

I bought an expensive frame from a local bike shop. When I went to collect, I asked if I could pay be "cheque spread" over three months, to which he agreed. How expensive? Well it was £36, but it was 1970.

Went back to the shop quite often (OT Cycles), but sadly no longer there.

Just make sure it's fully insured, be worse having to finish paying for something you no longer have! Bikes are pretty unique as thief magnets

I am fully covered thanks. Been a victim of crime too many times to leave it to chance.

Just managed to afford the Trike/Electric conversion kit out of my savings (with a bit of assistance from Maz as my Christmas pressie)
Just shy of £1100 if you count the cost of the B17special. (Nicked it off one of my MTBs)
