Me.. Commute in was quiet until i hit glasgow.. Computer reset for 2009 and now registers 15.64 miles

I am working this afternoon, only a six mile commute though but it's a start.

Im working,lovely commute very few cas.Thought i'd have to abandon commute due to cough.Fitted anti pollution mask at Stratford and it saved me.Saw cyclist wheeling bike down Stamford Street with p*nct*re and wished i had time to help.

Not me

But I did wake at 9.30 this morning, and decided to go out for a ride (as I've not been on the bike since the 9th December and have been missing it). It was freezing cold and a little misty / hazy, but there was no ice on the roads and I really enjoyed it. Took a meander around various parts of Edinburgh before heading along the coast and stopping to admire the sea mist at Newhaven, Portobello and Musselburgh. Wished I'd taken some bread for the ducks in the Esk !!

So few cars around that it was lovely - plenty of cyclists out and about, exchanged a few cheery 'Morning !'s and some nods to the runners out on some running event down at Porty seafront.

Just got into work. Nice and quiet on the roads but too many walkers in Glasgow Green for my liking.

ME. Worked last night on New Years Eve, and back on again tonight at 10pm. VERY VERY busy last night, still, it pays the bills.

I'm delighted that my building maintenance people answered the phone as I had emergency call into school re a burst pipe. So thank you all plumbers who may be on call today and I;m sure my head will thank all Bursars
