Hi, my brake leavers (shiamno derore lxm585) the screws to the resivoir are nackerd (so i cant bleed them) so i thought if i get the duel control ones thell do BUT the duel controls are 9 speed and my bike is 8 speed? so my biq Q is

What bits will i need to change it over?

Oblisley Cassete and chain but what else?

Cassette. Chain should be fine, ditto front and rear mech.

Imho cassette (9 speed obviously) and 9 speed chain. Assuming the new cassette does not breach the capacity of the rear mech.

I did an experiment, which showed a typical 8 speed chain should work ok-ish with a 9 speed Campag block, but I definitely wouldn't recommend with 9 speed Shimano cassettes, which have narrower sprocket pitch and thicker sprockets.
