I've even been looking at BMX/DJ type bikes as well
I know it's n+1 and all the rest of it but even so, what the hell is wrong with me?

I don't like quill stems, downtube shifters and threaded headsets. Old steel frames are nice enough but incompatability, and sourcing parts, is a pain in the bum. If you get a new paint job as well you can easily find you've exceeded the price you'd have paid for a new steel frame. They're also not lightweight, a 'legendary' 531c frame will run at a bit over 4lbs in weight, excluding forks.
Not that I've been thinking about this or anything![]()
