I agree with the comments about the VW indicators being difficult to see when braking but it wouldn't be as much of a problem if drivers followed the "mirror, signal, manoeuvre" rule. Most seem to forget or not know that braking is part of the manoeuvre.

I was once given the advice that the only thing a flashing indicator means is that the car has electrics!

You are far better off watching the vehicle, approach and wheel angles... given how many drivers either don't signal or signal wrongly this is far more reliable than indicators

Yep, all it proves is that the bulb is working..
