The bit that gets the coldest is my arse!

stop riding your bike backwards!

BigonaBianchi, is you a slenderella or a 'comfortably upholstered'-type person? If you are very slim i.e. very low body fat you will tend to feel the cold more than those of us carrying a little extra insulation!
I'll be interested to see if the 'less-is-more' theory works viz your layers.

Oh for crying out loud, on my ARSE, dammit, fewer layers on my arse :blush:

ah, that's where you're going wrong then! use more layers, dammit, it's obvious. :surrender:

Kirstie, Trusty just wants to see the superman effect -pants over tights.

Though on a serious note..Ways to layer on the bottom half would be shorts with longs, or a pair of baggies on top of longs.

Hi Kirstie, you can get back warmers made of fleece that also cover the top of your bottom. I saw some on the Tchibo site recently, but can't find them now.
