Why do some people, (often drivers of large RWD German saloons) creep up to a hill on an icy road and then floor the throttle in 1st gear and wonder why they sit spinning and going nowhere?

why does it have to start with that word, and they go on to explain in great detail..... not in a basic way at all!!!!

But that 'just' serves a particular function, i.e. to emphasise that what has happened is in some way shocking, unfortunate etc. "He was just 22 when he discovered he had incurable arthritis" etc

I realise that, but it then implies that we are all too stupid to know what a young age is, and anyway, it doesn't sound right, I mean, it often sounds like it was added as an afterthought and does nothing but disrupt the flow of words from the TV/Radio presenter.

For example

'He was three months'

suddenly becomes a bit of a mouthful when you say

'He was just three months'.

It disrupts the flow..... Although at least it isn't as bad as 'only'......... Well, I think so anyway!

... never go to church though out the entire year, but insist on cramming the place out on Christmas Eve. Either you're a Christian or you're not. If you are, then do it properly and go regularly, if not then don't be a hypocrite.

I know Christians that never go to church. I know poeple that are not Christians that go to midnight mass because the love Christmas and its part of their tradition. Is that wrong?

On the topic...why do people leave their foot on the footbrake in their car, thus making the brake lights burn the retina of the eyes of the driver in car behind them? Is too much to put the handbrake on?

In my opinion, if you do not believe in the existence of a deity, then you really should not be preying and singing songs to it.

A couple of people have now challenged my original statement, and that is fine, but I will stand by my view that if you choose to be a member of an organised religion then you should have the conviction to commit to it fully. If you do then you have my full respect.

Just put your feckin' headlights on dipped beam. Fog lights do not illuminate your path ahead, so unless it's a pea souper they are feckin' useless

Oh yes, dear God, havnt they got the grey matter to realise if you can see normal rear lights from 1/4 mile away, even in the fog....you don't need fog lights on.

Why do people have no culture awareness? We live in London that has a huge diversity and yes there are some VERY VERY narrow minded people that need to OPEN UP in this DAY AND AGE!

Why do people who are the age of 50 act like they are 14 in university. Seriously you see an opportunity, what is the normal thing to do YOU TAKE THE opportunity for crying out LOUD not try to make everyone conform to your standards! GROW UP.

Religion and church are two completely different things. Regular mass attendance is not required for all Christians in order to be considered as "fully commited". I do appreciate that that's the case for the Catholics though, so I will sit quietly here in my corner and eat my pies.. And if my choices send me straight to Hell so be it!! I find Gods grace to more apparent outside temples and that's where I prefer to pay my respects.
