.............live in Slough? (if live is the correct word in this context)

That's a bit harsh - at your age
I'm told tact is not my best subject

Edit: my OH has just reminded me of an example of that tact.
baby sitting young brother and sister, both still at primary school, me at uni on post grad degree. fed up of them constantly watching TV and refusing to go to bed, or just getting back up again after me putting them to bed and having issued several ultimatums & pushed beyond my normal tolerant self ( ) I apparently yelled something along the lines of "that's it" stormed off to the kitchen and got a pair of scissors, put them in my pocket and went back to their bedroom, issued one more warning, got nowhere so turned the TV off, unplugged it and cut the plug off the TV.

Result was 2 kids who went to bed in stunned disbelief and who now believe me when I threated anything...

........... sit at traffic lights then when they change to green drive forward a couple of feet, stop then activate their right turn indicator holding up everyone behind them.

Why do people even have meetings .... i have attended lots of them, usually instigated by managers, who think it a good idea to have an engineer present
..... to date, not one resulted in a definite action plan, it is usually a catalyst for planning THE NEXT BLOODY MEETING
I was once invited to a meeting, the purpose of which was to explore the idea that the people at the meeting might want to set up a mutual support group, at which they might talk to each other....

… drive fast up to the give way line, then slam their brakes on, only stopping when their front bumper is well across the line, and then give you a filthy look for swerving? I can only assume that they feel aggrieved that me taking necessary evasive action is embarrassing to them as it has highlighted their cretinous driving ability or lack thereof.

... disappear for months on end then suddenly post something random as if they haven't been missed. :giggle:

Haha! Hello Norm! Yes, sorry, haven't been thinking about this forum for a while due to the weather and me being a fair-weather cyclist these days. :cold: Er, have also been spending a bit of time on the Street Triple forum of late… N+1 and all that

Sorry everyone else for the hijack!

It's a bit more complicated than that...

....says the person who chooses to chair meetings in her spare time.

(And you and I both know that the best way to have a good meeting is to ensure that you or I chair it!)
