Why does the sun make people idiots?

Ive gone all winter without one person giving my hassle on my bike . In fact people have been more aware and polite , letting me out at junctions and go first away from the lights .
Tonight , a guy standing at a bus stop decided it would be funny to jump out at me and shout as loud as he could in my face . Not a kid but a grown man stood on his own waiting for a bus .
I slowed up and informed him that such actions may involve him getting a stern ticking off (in my local London tongue) but managed to keep my temper and not turn back .
I just don't get it

I could understand if his mates where there . I would put it down to just a bunch of pricks and yeah it was probably funny to them . I think I would have probably pulled out into the flow of traffic a bit if there where a group there so close to the curb .
Maybe he will be there tomorrow and I can stop and ask him why he did it
