Nonsense. My shotguns aren't made for killing people. Nor are my rifles or air-rifles. You can't say all knives are made for stabbing people, can you ?
A lot of pistols are made for defensive purposes, however. The idiot American in the original post is a fool who disobeyed the first rule of safe gun handling.
