When waiting in for anything getting delivered (in this case pre-mixed concrete for the base of my soon to be built shed), when they give you a time window - it is NEVER at the start of that window. I was told they would deliver before midday, so I am posting now in the faint hope they might prove me wrong!
It's a beautiful day, and I was hoping for an early delivery to free up the rest of the day ....

I've even tried the old "go for a seat on the loo" trick which normally brings them knocking at the door during the early stages of the process . It didn't work.

The other trick DID work. Phone the company to find out where they are, and while I was on the phone the lorry drove up my street!
All good, concrete poured into the frame in the garden. Took me a while to level it and smooth it down, but all sorted now. Time to find a shed; I reckon this one fits the bill. It's for a motorbike so needs a wide door.

8' x 6'.. Big enough for the motorbike. Pedal bikes are too easily stolen, so will continue to occupy the spare bedroom.

You could of course spent the time mixing part of it yourself.

It arrives in a lorry, pre-mixed.

Pre mix is far better..self mix will be weak ..and expensive 2 ton of ballast and 20 bags of cement..so 200 quid touch and then 2 hrs + mixing it.
