Boardman/Halfords insist on supplying their bikes with values too short for track pumps?

That's three of these bikes I've had now and each time the 1st thing I've had to do is take the tyres off and put in new tubes with 42mm valves. The "standard" ones appear to be 30mm or there abouts. (i.e. not long enough for a track pump to "grip" properly.)

Possibly but it works fine on 42mm upwards valves and given that this is the shortest that I've seen Halfords stock it just seems weird that they supply bikes with shorter than this.

get a blow joe sport 2 and why not tell them to swap tubes over before buying bike
