The drone shots are stunning, I wonder what effect the altitude has on them. Less air resistance makes it easier to turn the rotor blades, but also harder to get lift. Does one negate the other? Cold won’t help battery life.

Has Red Bull ever lost one of their athletes (?) doing one of these stunts? I know Ken Block died, but he was on his ranch. Nothwithstanding the support and planning they're hugely dangerous.

Yes, there have been a few.

Matilda Rappaport died in an avalanche while doinga film shoot for them.

Ueli Gegenschatz died doing a base jump for them.

I think there have been about 6 or 7 altogether.

There was a pretty serious crash in a recent ride-MTBs-off-huge-drops-in-a-canyon event. I really wish the guy well, but it did seem rather Darwinian ...

It does indeed look stunning.
I did a heliski experience a few years back. The skiing was nothing memorable but the flight in an enormous Soviet chopper was flippin spectacular!

I watched that video this week. Absolutely mental!!
Extreme sports people have a brain wired very differently to me, but can’t help but admire their achievements 🙏
