On using fillthathole recently, I see the status has been changed to "Rejected". What does this status mean, indeed what do any of the statuses (i?) mean and under what circumstances can they be changed?

Tried fth website for clues but none apparent.

I have only used that fillthathole once, didn't get anywhere, so I went online to my council they had a section on road maintenance so I filed it there got a reply back two days later

I remember reading that damage to the surface layer of the road does not count as a pothole, so if its is unlikely to cause a problem to a car etc the council will not class it as a hazard.

I bet if you forward pictures of the road, pictures of damage to the bike and request compensation it'll get fixed

Somewhere in the porridge i call a brain. Is a recent memory that the depth has been increased so what was a pothole is not now a pothole.

I had one (well about 6 craters) that I reported and it came back that it was a private road. However whether they informed the land owner as they have been subsequently filled in (badly), so the worst danger has been removed ... its just a little bumpy.
